Addis Ababa, “new flower”
Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia was established in 1886 by Emperor Menelik II. Addis is also home for the headquarter of African Union(A.U) and United Nation Economic Commission for Afriac, (U.N. E.C.A.). It is the third highest capital in the world with a population of above 4 million.
The city holds many interseting sites for visitors who would like to spend a day or more. One can experiance Markato, the largest open market in Afriaca with its colorful shops that sales everything.
The National Museum of Addis is home for “Lucy”, the first human to walk on this planet.
Holy Trinity Catherdral is one of the largest churches in Addis which was built during the time Emperor Haile Sellassie and it is the burial site of the Emperor and his families with the great patriot of Ethiopians.
